Who else remembers latch hook rugs?  I loved to do them as a kid!  I remember doing a rainbow, a heart, a teddy bear... Well now I am all grown up and needed a more updated image to do.  A friend had given me a rug that she just started and promptly gave up on so I decided to take it apart and make a companion cube!  Hope you like it!

I have no idea what a "companion cube" is, but I still like the pattern you made in the rug!

@ Scifi Mom - it's a character from a popular computer game where you have to solve all sorts of puzzles involving physical concepts such as momentum and mass. The premise of the game is that you are locked in by a computer in a testing facility and the computer has gone all nuts and is trying to kill you. So not only do you have to solve the puzzles, but the penalty for not managing to is death (although it is rumored that all test subjects are cloned multiple times, and this is why you always get to start again as the same character). The game cube is given to you as a friend, which you can use to keep buttons pushed for instance to solve otherwise unsolvable puzzles, help you climb onto otherwise unreachable platforms, etc. Unfortunately, at some point you are forced to throw the game cube into an incinerator, otherwise you can't get out. The talking computer system alludes to that somewhat earlier, saying that "cake, and grief counselling, will be available at the end of the test".
The companion cube is easily the most popular character of the game, I think. You can tell why by watching this demo of the game:
You can tell more about the sort of humor that's in the game from these videos:

Needless to say I'm loving the rug.  Grin
