I'm not going to lie....he was supposed to be a wolf.
When I drew him....out he was a wolf, when I started sculpting him..... he was a wolf, when I finished him......all I could see was dragon. What do you see?.
He's all hand done with polymer clay in different sizes on a wood plaque. The eyes however are glass..
There is a glaze on the dragon but I left the background with a more muted steampunk type coloring/tone
The wood plaque is 20" high and a little over 11" wide
The dragon is 11 1/2"

He looks like a wolf to me.  Amazed at the details!  What a great project!

Really? I'm so happy you see the wolf too.... I took a poll and most of my friends said dragon...and one said cow, but he was forgiven.

I think wolf too - but maybe it's the "curlyness" of him that gives him a dragony feel.  Smiley

errrm Wild Boar anyone?   Embarrassed  Actually he is brilliant. I love all the spirals that make up the background and are reflected in his fur. And his eyes are really good.

I see a wolf, too... I think it's the distinctive doggy nose that does the job for me!  Beautiful work! Pinned!
