one
but I'm open to other cute designs.
I have a set from kaz, but more would be helpful. Same design or different, doesn't matter
~Handmade ornaments - We love silly, quirky ornaments.
Button ball ornament -

I claim Casey1201 for owl coffee cozy, coffee cup, and dog treats.
Hello, I'm Betsy! I live in Indiana with my husband, 3 cats, 5 reptilians (2 bearded dragons, 3 leopard geckos), and a dog. Husband is a software programmer/consultant; I'm unemployed, but in school for mortuary sciences. I do ATCs, crochet (anything), journaling, painting, scrapbooking, hand sewing, cross stitch, embroidery...
General holiday:
- Handmade cards
-
Handmade gift tags (
this
and
this
are amazing)
Thanks Casey1201 and cloud_berry!
This
would also work as a card as well.
Husband:
If you don't like anything from the list below, here's some information on him... He currently works as a "consultant" for a software development company. He's started having to count calories/watch his weight (doctor's orders). He's an extremely picky eater and I'm always looking for recipes to try for him. He loves his PS3, fantasy novels, Doctor Who, Sherlock, certain anime, British comedy, Chuck Palahnuik, Plants VS Zombies, his Android phone... He's a huge cat lover, so even if you want to send him some cat toys.
- TARDIS stocking (
this
,
this
, and
this
are very awesome.)
-
Flashdrive keychain
Thanks tamalama!
- Etched shot glasses (Portal, Fall Out 3, Need for Speed, Magic the Gathering)
-
Papercraft Claptrap
- Magic the Gathering themed mug/thermos
-
This
D20 ornament
- Anything from
the pinterest list I made him
Stocking stuffer things: travel sizes of Axe or Dove or Ibuprofin(weird, I know, but he has chronic tendonitis), pens, cat toys, Peach Rings, cat treats/toys/art, Nerf Gun darts...
The weird part is I'm looking for a Ken doll to complete a craft I'm working on for him... So that's an option.
Cousin found him
My Parents:
My dad is thinking about going back to school, my mom does substitute teaching and loves to read; they're antique dealers/flea marketers.
-
an ornament like
this
Thanks Casey1201!
-
Homemade dog or cat treats
(They have five dogs and three cats.)
- Stocking of any sort
- Stocking stuffer things
My parents have always done stockings for my sister and I, our boyfriends or close friends, but we have never done stockings for them. I think it'd be cute, but I have no idea where to start...): travel size soaps/toothpastes, pens, "receipt" paper pad, mini notebooks,
bookmarks
(
Thanks tamalama!
), highlighters, whatever...
My parents like shows like Eureka, Doctor Who (at least my dad does...), Supernatural, Big Bang Theory...
My Sister:
- Handtowels,
wash clothes
, scrubbies,
reusable Swiffer mop thing
or
this
,
reusable Swiffer duster thing
, a
reusable grocery bag
Thanks cloud_berry!
- I want to get her a stocking since she just moved out (something like
these
) and maybe one for her fiance. (I don't know much about him, he's the outdoor-sy/auto-mechanic type, so maybe camouflage or something?)
She just moved into her first apartment, so these are things I think she'd enjoy... Or have more of a use for.
Cousin A:
-
owl or
D20
ornament
Thanks tamalama!
She received a Kindle Touch for her birthday and will be in the hospital for a month for a heart transplant. I'd love to get her a case for it or something. (Owls or Harry Potter (like
this
?) would be awesome.)
Cousin B:
He loves cthulhu, H.P. Lovecraft, unique board or card games, pen and paper RPGs. He and his wife just moved to Wisconsin, so something small with that theme. It doesn't matter if it's a bookmark, cup, ornament, or anything... (
This
or
this
ornament idea)
My Cousins' Kids:
- Unknown
Everyone Else:
- a small ornament, doesn't have to be the same theme or person.
This
,
this
,
this
(
Thanks Casey1201!
),
this
,
this
,
this
, one set of my grandparents would love
this
(they travel a lot),
this
, and my uncle would like something like
this
.
I have 4 sets (my mom's mom, my mom's (real) dad, my dad's side, and hubby's mom's mom) of grandparents. My dad's side and my mom's dad have had a rough time; if one of them isn't in the hospital or ER, the other is. I also two aunt/uncle sets, his parents, his sister, and his brother/brother's wife. I'd need
nine
ornaments.
4 out of 9 ornaments received
thanks to Casey1201!
Friend S:
She's a fan of Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Magic the Gathering, RPGs, zombies, and alcohol.
-
Pocket Loki
-
You R2 Cute
-
D20 ornament
Shot glasses, etched mugs, wall-art, or anything.
Friend D:
A little harder to plan for... He's been Afghanistan for a year now (second or third time over?), likes Magic the Gathering, PS3 videogames, and alcohol... I'm leaning towards etched shot glasses/mugs, Magic the Gathering packs, drunken gummies...
-
D20 ornament

I claim TwistedTruth for a stocking
2/0/0
I live in Iowa with my boyfriend (of 8 years) and our small Multipoo dog named sissy.
Blue
= Big Wish
My boyfriend’s Grandkids
Perhaps someone likes making gifts for kids? You could make anything you would like.
My boyfriend has 4 kids (all grown). 2 are married with kids. One has 1 boy (age 7) and 1 girl (age 3). The other has 2 boys (ages 8 and 2). We could use some gifts for the grandkids (don’t worry about the “kids”, they like cash
We just need gifts for the grandkids.)
Some ideas:
- Maybe something like
this
for the youngest boy?
-
Checker Board
Any medium (sewn, knit, crochet, etc). I would like to get 2, they don't need to be done by the same person.
-
Surprise Snowball(s)
Like
this
-
Game Controler Pillow
playstaion
or
xbox
-
Pillow fight weapons
like the ones
here
-
Felt Christmas Tree
like
this
. I would love to get 2 (1 for each family), but it doesn't need to be by the same person.
-
I Spy Bag(s)
-
Anything!
My Parents
My dad is disabled. Some days he is in so much pain he can’t leave his bed. Other days are better. His favorite things are going to breakfast and his dog Rosita. Rosita is great for him. When he has bad days she will lay next to him all day. Other days, she is great at getting him out of the house. She loves playing ball and car rides. So a great day for dad is taking Rosita to sonic for breakfast. She is like his child. He used to have pictures of me all over his computer and phone. They have since been replaced with pictures of her
He spends a lot of time reading (especially when he can’t get out of bed). He reads suspense and crime novels and can read a book or 2 a night. He is trying to get more active (when he can), so he swims at the community pool and has started playing pickleball. He pretty much likes any colors (well, he won’t wear pink) and anything. He isn’t picky. He has no allergies but he is diabetic.
Mom is allergic to wool (it is fine if dad gets something with wool in it, she has to be close to notice it, like a blanket or a scarf). Her favorite color is blue. There isn’t any color she dislikes. She also loves Rosita, but her “baby” is her dog Maxie (a boy). She spends most of the time working. She just started sewing and tries to spend every minute she can find sewing. She is a natural at it. She never had a hobby before, so I think this is good from her.
-
Detroit Lions Stocking
-
Detroit Lions Bag
-
Detroit Lions Vest
I would love a Lions vest for my dad. He wears a xxl. If you have an idea or something else Detroit Lions themed, that would be great too. It shouldn’t take too much fabric, as it doesn’t need arms.
-
Anything Detroit Lions themed
for my dad.
-
3x Shirts for Dad
Doesn’t matter if they are sewn, stenciled, painted or anything else. He likes shirts. Any type or style. I haven’t seen a shirt he doesn’t like. Shirts in his size are expensive and they don’t have much money so he usually gets his shirts from the bargain rack from walmart (when he can find them, which isn’t often). It is always the shirts no one else would wear and he loves them. He has an unusual sense of humor. His favorite was just a basic shirt that said “I am Hip Hop” he found for $3. He loved that shirt. If you want themes, some would be: Detroit lions, the zia symbol, Bob Marley, his dog, humorous sayings. Don’t feel you need to go by those themes. He would love anything! Those are just what I could think of. Don’t let them limit you.
-
Slippers
For my dad. He wears a 9 ½ in US men’s. Any style. He could really use them. He can’t feel his feet so sometimes he steps on things around the house (like goat heads) without realizing it. Even a thin barrier would make a big difference.
-
Stickers With “Bob V.” on them
For my dad. He puts them on his diabetic tracking sheets. I think it is his way to make a negative thing a bit more fun. And it makes the nurses smile. They should have some sort of picture (sponge bob?) and “Bob V”. They could be done by hand. Or this would be good for someone with some computer skills and Avery type labels.
-
Stenciled/etched beer glasses
-
Stenciled/etched drinking glasses
-
Stenciled/etched beer mug with Detroit Lions Logo
-
Homemade Soap
Dad loves homemade soap. He first got hooked when they got a bar of lavender goat milk soap. Since then he has tried many different types of soap (like olive oil ones) and has likes them all. I have got him a bunch of goat milk soap, so I am looking for other types. Olive oil was his favorite, but that could just be because his hasn't tried anything other than olive oil and goat milk
-
Flip Flops
for mom. Womens 7
1/2
. Here is one
idea
. Any type would work in any craft.
-
Animal Stuff
They foster dogs and cats for their local shelter, so they can always use any animal toys/clothing/items. They have 2 dogs and 1 cat of their own.
-
49ers bag or purse
for mom
-
Spongebob
A stuffie would be great. I have seen crochet patterns. But any method would be great too. Perhaps a knitted or sewn one? Or perhaps a sponge bob magnet?
-
Southwest or Indian Art
Any type or size. Sewn, painted, sand, yarnie, clay, really any type
-
cookie mix in a jar
-
flavored coffee mix(es)
lots of easy recipes online
-
gloves
for mom, any craft
-
homemade dog treats
-
Dog sweater with skull
Small dog. I have measurements.
-
Stocking stuffers
Last year I didn't have much money, so I make a stocking for my mom and filled it with little things (like the little sewing accessories you can get for $1, washcloths, etc). She was almost in tears. She loved it. So I want to get some suffers to put in stockings. Just some ideas are potholder(s), hotpad, finger potholders, cooking/baking supplies/mixes/accessories, spices, dog toys, any detroit lions/49ers(football)/spongebob, anything you can think of. I am going to make my parents both one this year (or make dad one and have a bunch of little gifts for her to open).
-
Anything you think they would like
I didn’t ramble on about their life for no reason.
If you got any ideas while reading their “bio,” (ie, something for animals or a bookmark for dad’s reading), go with it. My imagination limits me greatly. Don’t let my poor imagination limit you too :p If you have ideas, please, use them. There is also more ideas in the board I linked
above
.
For Mags
(a family friend I have known my whole life)
-
Nightmare Before Christmas Stocking
like any of
these by smashu
-
Nightmare Before Christmas wallet/holder
Based on
this,
but it would be better if it was to hold memory cards or money (or anything else you can think of) instead of tea. Actually, anything Nightmare Before Christmas related would be wonderful. It just can’t be too large. Her son, his wife and their daughter are moving in with them, so they have gotten rid of a lot of knick knacks.
-
Plants vs Zombies Plush toy(s)
like this
-
Nightmare Before Chistmas in Polymer Clay
I know it is a long shot but
this
is amazing.
For My “Boy”friend
Blue is his favorite color, he likes most colors (he is very artistic), no allergies. Old enough to have 4 kids in their 30s
.
-
Robe
He needs a long, warm robe for the winter. Something that will go to
atleast
his mid-calf
-
Prince Valiant 2013 Calendar
-
Homemade Baked Goods
Pies (he would love an apple one with a lattice top, any size, even a super tiny one), bread, cookies…. He loves baked goods and they are hard to find here. Feel free to claim him for this, I can give it to him early.
-
Super Hero Coasters
as seen
here.
Old style comics like that would be great. He would flip if it was from old comic strips. His favorite strip is Prince Valiant (by the original artist, not the modern version).
-
***Shorts/Boxers***

I claim lydiaharper for some moustache wall art
Claims: 1/0/0
I'm Susan 21 years old from
The Netherlands (important when sending)
I still live at home with my mum and 20 year old brother. My boyfriend lives about 2 hours away near Amsterdam. I have a pretty alternative group of friends with a geeky twist with whom I play LARP and tabletop roleplaying games. I will keep updating this list.
Wishlist:
For my mum my brother and my boyfriend I would like stockings. Filling a stocking is not common in Holland and I would love to share this tradition with my family. However it is impossible to fing cute stockings over here. Stocking stuffers fitting the people below would also be awesome!
For my brother
who has a plethora of disabilities (both mental and physical) and loves the muppets, the sea and detective shows (NCIS, Bones) He's going to be living on his own soon but he will only have a bedroom to fill.
- A nice sturdy (he has no mouth control so bites trough thin material) coffee cup with a muppet or NCIS (he loves Gibbs) image on it.
- something with steadler and waldorf from the muppets, maybe a piece of cute wall-art
For my mum
currently runs two jobs, very passionate women who I'm very proud of. She's teaching middle school and is the main caretaker for my brother. Her secret ambition is to be an interior decorator
- A nice notebook with blank pages for sketching and glueing images. On the outside could be some inspiration she loves beach houses, clean and fresh interiors and lots of white.
- A framed quote (maybe papercrafted) about following your dreams no matter what it takes.
- A nice bookmark, nothing thick. She loves reading as relaxation at night. Might be a cute extra.
For my boyfriend
23 years old, lovely guy who has a passion for leathercrafts, LARP and dancing. He loves handmade goods a lot! and has a love for antiques.
- A nice notebook with an old feel maybe a leather or parchment cover?
- The avengers quote: ''Puny god'' on a piece of artwork, feel free to be creative.
- An avengers stuffy, Loki or ironman would be awesome.
For my friends
they're LARP-ers and roleplayers
- Dice necklaces for the girls (nothing too girly)
- Steampunk jewelry
- Dice bags, I prefer lined ones, and they would have to be nice and big (think make-up bag size) Fun fabrics like pirate prints are appreciated.
For me:
- A camera strap with fabric so I don't hurt my neck anymore. I have a canon 600D
- Any quote from my pinterest board:
http://pinterest.com/polychromical/quote-love/
as a hoopla or framed/canvas wall-art or even on something like a tote-bag.
Supplies
- any fabrics even scraps I can use
- cogs, gears and keys
- any leftover electricity bits, broken led lights, displays, print cards etc.

I'm claiming kittykill for a prayer scarf.
2/0/0
He loves his PS3, fantasy novels, Doctor Who, Sherlock, certain anime, British comedy, Futurama, Chuck Palahnuik, Plants VS Zombies, his Android phone... He's a huge cat lover, so even if you want to send him some cat toys.
- TARDIS stocking (
this
,
this
, and
this
are very awesome.)
-
Flashdrive keychain
Thanks tamalama!
- Etched shot glasses (Portal, Fall Out 3, Need for Speed, Magic the Gathering)
-
Papercraft Claptrap
-
This
D20 ornament
- Anything from
the pinterest list I made him
Stocking stuffer things: pens, Peach Rings, cat treats/toys/art, Nerf Gun darts...

My Cousins' Kids:

Everyone Else:
- a small ornament, doesn't have to be the same theme or person.

For Me:
- Yarn wreath (Christmas or Halloween themed)
- Paint chips cards (like example paint cards)
- Knitted/crocheted socks

I am going to claim TwistedTruth for stocking stuffers for family/friends!
1/2/1
Hi! I’m Kerrie, 24 years old living in a house in Massachusetts with my boyfriend of over 4 years and some friends!
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and am a full time personal trainer. I am also a professional Middle Eastern Dancer (belly dancer), I perform 1-2x/week at Greek/Lebanese restaurants or private parties (weddings, anniversaries, bdays, etc).
I love to cook, craft (jewelry being my favorite), hike, play sports, read, dance…
I love nature inspired things – especially birds and trees!
I love all colors, aqua is probably my favorite.
I love artwork, especially nature themed or dance inspired drawings/paintings. I am starting a wall of belly dance art and would love to add to it!
I dislike country style items – not a fan of anything too frilly.
Allergies:
Hay (the kind you feed horses/guina pigs) makes me sneezy, and so does smoke. As long as the items aren’t around those things, it should be fine.
I made a Pinterest specifically for swaps, so you can just check that out if it’s easier for you to browse through pictures. It’s sorted by categories so it’s easy to navigate.
