September 2012 Birthday Swap - Gallery and Discussion

alwaysinmyroom claimed me for some birthday goodies and, boy, did she spoil me!  She knows how much I love this time of year, and how much I love to cook.  She made me the most beautiful fall-themed apron!  This one is going to carry me right through holiday baking season.


A rainbow hued winter hat!  I just love this.  It fits me perfectly.


Halloween stencils, for dusting powdered sugar on top of cupcakes and Ouija Board Mints (they are yummy!)  I don't know what I will do with the tin when it's empty, but something fun! 


Fabric!  I hoard Halloween fabric, I love Halloween fabric, I love THIS Halloween fabric!


My feet were cold so I popped these awesome socks right on.  Love them! 


She made me the most AMAZING handmade cards!!!!  They depict animals we raise on our farm.  The back of this one reads "This time the sheep were ready..."


"Milking the goat on Halloween did not go well...."


"The sheep shearer might have sheared a bit too much..."


"They waited too long for the cows to come home..."


My kids are going to LOVE these as much as I do.  You are incredibly talented and generous!  Thank you so much, alwaysinmyroom!

I know your birthday was in September but because I was late mailing, I figured some Halloween goodies were in order!

Did you find the hidden front pocket on the apron?

At the last minute I saw that you had put a tassle on the hat you had in your wistlist!  The green was all that I had left of the skein, so hope you like green!

I did find the pocket, which is hidden because of your amazing ninja fabric pattern matching abilities!  Halloween is my absolute favorite, I love the tassel and I also love that you are conquering your fear of scary ugly farm animals!     Thank you again.

I still haven't heard if Whysperia ever got my package!

It's actually me you are sending those 2 hoops to and they haven't arrived yet but I guess I now know what they look like.  It hasn't quite been 2 weeks since you sent so I wasn't worrying yet.  I'm going to love them once they arrive.
