I did, I always used a mixture of pva glue and water to stiffen them as I've never had very good results with starch.

I've never had any luck with starch either but I've found that the ratio of glue to water can be tricky, too thick and you lose fine detail like picots but if it's too thin, it won't stiffen.

I received from littlebluegirl yesterday, it's exactly what I wanted! A beautiful Battlestar Galactica inspired hat along with some candy and a gorgeous card. (there was one more candy, but it ended up in my stomach before pictures happened).

Love the crochet snowflakes! T--the ones you made me a few years ago are perfect!  I use fabric stiffener on mine...which I think is really just thinned down glue!

What a cute hat!  ha ha  Candy never seems to make the pictures!

I will be back from my vacation tomorrow so hopefully, I can make a couple of claims before Sunday!  Better late than never!
