My first ATC's - Would you be disappointed to receive them?

So I signed up for an ATC swap, and then I decided I should learn how to make them before sending them out.  I don't want to disappoint anyone.  Paper crafting isn't really my thing... I usually make dolls.

Anyway, these ATC's have a theme; they are a set of 3.  (I don't know how big sets should be.)  The theme is the poem "Goblin Market" by Christina Rossetti. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goblin_Market  I drew the goblins and colored them with primsacolor markers.  The background is from a lovely watercolor painting of ghost orchids by Kate Osborne.  http://www.kateosborneart.com/

Are these ATC's missing something?  I used a gluestick, and then sat on each one - don't laugh, I read that makes it stick better - but should I finish them in some way?  If you were in a swap with me, would you totally hate them?

Ok, thanks so much!  That makes me feel better.  Should I finish them in some way?  I read about future floor wax and mod podge, but I would prefer that they not be shiny.

All I do for mine is spray on some clear acrylic spray.  It isn't shiny at all.

I think they're gorgeous! I would love to get one of them, they're adorable, so don't worry. If you are still worried something's missing, though, you could try to darken the edges a bit.

That's a great idea!  It will hide my poor cutting, lol.

Oh, I have some Testor's clearcoat spray from when I used to play with BJD face ups.  Thanks for the tip!

they are great! i love the one holding the apple.
i agree that if you darken the edges it will give them a more finished look. you can do this with a stamp pad or a marker. i don't usually seal mine  unless it's decoupage then i use whatever i used to glue paper down. i don't really care for modgepodge glossy it gets sticky, i have been using watered down tacky glue. for chalk, pastels, charcoal, and pencil, i just use hairspray (aqua net) to keep them from smearing.

amazing!  I love the little goblin monsters, and your painting style is really fabulous, very unique, and such a great combo of sweet and creepy, and I am always a sucker for a little text worked in!  I would be thrilled to receive any of these!

Are you kidding!?  These are great!  I think you have a bright future of ATC making ahead of you!  I'm also an ATC newbie, but I agree that darkened edges give most ATCs and inchies a certain "je ne sais quoi", although I have made some that I just felt looked better without.
