Building your own house also sounds like a good idea.  You can even buy kits to make your own bird houses.  I think it would be great if you could organize dollface.  I've organized once.  I'll never do that again.  We could give our partners a choice if they wanted a wooden bird house or a foam core bird house, or maybe even a 3 dimensional paper/card stock house.  I would prefer a wooden house myself.

If I did decide to organize (I'm working on my first swap as organizer now)  I think sign ups would probably have to be short, sept 21-28 and then crafting would be sept 29-oct 20ish

I'm not sure if we would work off the Craftster Point System, or if we all chose the same house design to use

Also, there is a Chunky House Halloween theme swap on right now

I saw the chunky Halloween house swap.  That's where I got my idea for the wooden bird house Halloween swap.  The chunky houses are made of paper.  I thought it would be fun to have something more solid.  I don't think we would have to go by the Crafster point system.  I think we could each decide what kind of house we want, wooden or foam core and a general size.  What do you think dollface?  I think a short sign up period is fine.  And, as long as we send out at a time where we could all receive before Halloween.

I looked up the organizing rules and it looks like I wouldn't be able to organize until after Sept 28th (after my first swap is done).  I don't think there would be enough time to do sign ups and crafting time to be able to send out before Halloween.  So I guess we need someone else to volunteer to be an organizer.  Any takers?
