My packages rarely fit inside - they're usually just too big to fit and usually just too many.  Grin

That was definitely the largest stocking I've ever made! I had fun working on it!

Wee!!! I just signed up. I've had my signup text file going for over a week and just kept slowly answering and adding info to try and not forget anything.

As to Christmas traditions, it's not all that formal in my family, particularly in the last 5-10 years. I don't remember getting a stocking as a kid and I think it only started in my early teen years. Most of the time, we've done that stay up until past midnight deal, so gifts are often exchanged then, but some years it goes to Christmas morning.

I am really looking forward to this swap as I've been missing signups for the last couple rounds.

I just remembered... I used to get 2 stockings. One at Grandma's, 1 at Mom's. Mom always filled ours with an orange, an apple, a bunch of nuts (still in the shell), a lifesaver book, some chocolate, and a few "from Santa" gifts. And sometimes one or two from the parents gifts if small.

I don't remember what Grandma put in hers... I'm guessing a few small gifts. Growing up, I put in appearances everywhere... Spokane Grandma's, Cd'A Grandma's, Mom's house, and Dad's house (Dad didn't do Xmas stockings that I'm aware of. But that's another story).

I'm from Australia and as far as I know stockings are not a big tradition here. But I love them and my hubby got in on the action a couple of years ago when we had Christmas at our place and made a stocking holder for the 11 people we had staying. I got to pick up small goodies for everyone to put in them. Very exciting.

BTW - are we there yet!! Cheesy
