When my DIL finished at her job she wanted to give her co-workers a little gift and the thing that all could use or said they wished they had were sleep masks that block out the light when they do over nighters (They do snappling, camp site stuff in short) So she asked me if I could help.
They were all made with fleece and elastic for the band. DIL gave me great feedback from them. They said they were very nice on the face and blocked out the light totally. It was fun to do and I was happy to help out.
A pic of what they looked like:

All sewn together. Ready for just a bit of buckwheat filling.

All ready!

I even made her a bag so she can carry them all to her farewell party.

Try to snip the curves. It helps a lot. I used fleece so it was more difficult to get the curved effect.
