I save mine. And the return address plus postage stamps on the envelope. I just stick 'em all in a notebook I've designated my 'swap notebook'. But then, I haven't been on a hundred swaps like MareMare.

I have every card/postcard from my nearly 100 swaps (some I had more than one partner or I picked six people to send items to...etc. so more like 130 swaps!)...I request a postcard from all over the country/world...those are mounted on my walls, doors, etc. of my craftroom...I plan on turning the rest of my "stuff" into an art journal...I also save the stamps, the tissues, the ribbons, and sometimes the boxes...I border on being a hoarder... I have a swap journal to help me keep track of the swap(s) I am in, partners info, notes and quick sketches, etc- I use one page per partner. After I have sent out my swap package and have received from my partner- I attach any notes letters or cards that I have received to the corresponding partners page.

"teag" that's a real good Idea. I do keep all my cards/notes I get from my partners. I also keep a book/kind of journal that I staple the questionnaire to the back of a page & on the the front put some of the info I need quick in a glance like colors , sizes, etc. Also I draw on there or if it's bigger I add another page & when I'm done I write the day I sent it on the front page & fold it in half so I know it's done. I also save the bags, boxes etc. & & take the old addresses or cover them up & resend to other swapers. But I like your Idea of putting the card/note in the book too! Thanks, I'll be doing that now. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them & this is a great idea!!   Wink

That is a really good idea.  I know that over the past year I have started making my own note cards to send in swaps, and some art tags as note cards that I hope my partners liked, maybe even enough to keep.  Maybe I will also start keeping the notes in my packages as a journal too.

I just recycle them, unless my 7yr old wants it for a craft project.    While I appreciate the effort, I don't really see the point in them unless something in the package needs explaining.   I never include notes, I wouldn't know what to write.

I think it's a nice thing to put a note in with the package! I look forward to see a note in my packages! Some just say,  they enjoyed making it for me & hope I like it!  Some say more & sometimes I have to say something about what I made etc. The ones I get I put on the note what they made & for what swap & anything else I need to put on there,  then they go in my book with the quesstionnaires! Some are elaborate & some not! But that's ok!  I love anything! Each person has their own unique crafty way of making it & that's awesome! Also you don't have to put any note in!

The journal is a great idea.  Although not required, a note adds a personal touch imho.  It doesn't need to be fancy.

From my baby shower years ago, I saved every card, the gift bags, even snippets of the tissue paper/giftwrap.  To me, everything involved with a package was part of that gift.  People took the time to pick and fold that tissue paper, bag, and card, and I cherished their thoughtfulness.  Yes I'm sappy lol.   I wrote the gift items on the back of the corresponding cards - this helps with the thank you notes.  The bags have been reused.
