I am noticing that a lot of swappers are leaving off their name for the mailing address. I've tried multiple post offices and the result is the same. The postal worker gives me grief and I end up taking the package home until I can get a name from my partner.

I'm near a military base so it may just be my area but it seems a little thing when someone is spending hours making you something from the heart. I wouldn't be interested in swapping if it was entirely impersonal.

Before someone chimes in about identity theft or stalking, I sympathize with those concerns but the statistical reality of any negative outcome here with experienced swappers is remarkably low. If you have concerns you can always use a nom de guerre, a made up artists name.

I just assume my partner forgot, so I always ask if the name is missing.

I have yet to experience this. I guess from now on, I should check my partner's questionaire the minute it arrives in my PM box and if there is a name missing, I will contact them immediately so I won't have to get 'looks' come PO time.

Just to clarify, they don't put their name on the questionnaire at all? Or just not on the address part?

Sometimes I just write my address in the address part but don't write my name there as I put it in the 'real name' part of the questionnaire. I guess I figure they know who I am from that and would automatically put it on the address. Maybe I need to start putting my name in the address section too.

No name at all. It has happened about 5 times recently. I think one person just forgot.

Gotcha. I was worried I was confusing people without realizing it. That's strange to not put your name...

I've had that happen a time or two. I've just used their Craftster name and haven't had any grief from the post office.

I was one of the 5 Wink (no I'm not taking this personal). I know on the questionnaire I filled out there was not a "real name" spot as usual. I didn't notice until I received a pm needing my name.

I've never had a swapper not give their name purposefully though. I guess if they wanted to be incognito they could use a pseudonym.

Sounds like you've just had a odd streak of namelessness.

No offense taken! It has been an odd streak. I know another person just forgot as well.
