Welcome to Roswell

This was a joint effort of the husband and myself.  It was loads of fun.  Years ago we visited Roswell, NM. and went to the International UFO Museum & Research Center; we loved both the town and the museum.

This is your basic shoebox diorama.  The husband made the space ship from cardboard and aluminum foil.  It's hard to tell, but there is a row of windows all around and it lights up from a flashlight shoved in the back.  The rocks are from the backyard as are the trees which are rosemary clippings.  Our tiny green deceased friends and the fire are made of sculpey.

We added the red flasher to give it an emergency feel.  It really looks good in the dark but was hard to photograph.

ha ha ha!  I love it!  Especially lit up.  My boys are making a Thank you note via Diorama to give to someone so that we can post it here too.

i love it! my dad was born in roswell in april 1947 and it's a running joke among family and friends that the crash victims were actually on their way back to pick him up, but instead he's been posing as a human all these years, stuck here, waiting for the next ship to come along...he'd love your diorama also. maybe i'll make him one for christmas!

Love it! I really like the fire and the death X-eyes, for some strange reason...
  ...not that I'm anti-alien, for those of you out there in space reading this, I just like the way it looks in their diorama.

I love your dioramas! They crack me up. I love your integration of light in this one, it's oh-so-techno geek! I'd seriously would keep this in my bedroom as a nightlight  although it might make the boyfriend feel awkward.

I love this!  The lights are great, the aliens hilarious, and the rosemary gives it that realistic touch.  Great job!
