Class/Challenge/House Pride: October Challenge: Clean Out Rotten Flobberworms? Without gloves?!?!
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Pre-Winter Garden Tidy
Project Page Link (if available): none
Brief Description: My veg garden has been seriously neglected this autumn, as we have not had much dry weather to get out there. The whole year has been a bit of a write-off actually. The last 3 years we have had potatoes, onions and garlic see us through the winter, this year, we have finished the onions and potatoes already! However, this weekend, the weather has been glorious in between the patches of rain, so I decided to get out there and tidy - my target for the weekend was the top end of the patch. (I know there must be loads of spells for weeding and cutting back, but there is nothing quite so satisfying as getting a little muddy and achy!)
Project Picture:

Before:

We have extended the veg patch from just beyond the arch to where the fence is now across the bottom, so the far end does not have any beds as yet - just lots of grass, nettles, ivy and bindweed - not looking forward to clearing that!! We have almost doubled the size of the patch, so looking forward to planting lots more next year! Just keeping fingers crossed that we get the right weather at the right times next year!

Same angle afterwards:

Top end all tidy:

No gloves!!

Oh goodness seeuudee, you know you were actually allowed to wear gloves, right?!?!  The title of the challenge was just a reference to Snape's punishment in the novels.  I didn't mean you had to actually do the challenge without gardening gloves.  Sad  I hope your poor hands are okay!!!

Oh, and yeah, you did a BEAUTIFUL job with your garden!

Thank you for your concern Jennie, but I never garden with gloves anyway, unless I am digging up nettles!!! Good moisturiser soon sorts them out!  Grin

And fantastic choice for WotW - that mosaic is just amazing! Well done pottermouth!

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Herbology
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Dogweed and Deathcap
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=415500.0
Brief Description: My Dogweed and Deathcap store for my partner in the back to Hogwarts swap!  This probably could have been an owl, I spent enough time on it.  Each of the clay pieces seemed to be a 'large' time wise by themselves.  But it was so much fun to make and I'm glad I did.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Oh wow! I am honoured to be Witch of the Week! I'm glad I don't have to be the one(s) who choose though...too many wonderful projects on here to decide. Thanks!

patty_o, the Deathcap and Dogweed store is fantastic!!! I love the teeny books.
seeuudee, make room because I am moving in so I can dig in your dirt. And the food tastes better when your hands look that way, I think.
FiberAlchemist, pineapple mango jam. yummmmm.

I have to go back and read the previous pages and get caught up. Bet there's stellar crafts I've missed.
