Class/Challenge/House Pride: Transfiguration
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Buttons

Brief Description: I've been struggling in Transfiguration class, every time I try to turn beetles into buttons the end up looking like whatever image I have pictured in my head. I decided to use this to my advantage, and I've been conjuring up buttons while watching Harry Potter and Doctor Who

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Alchemy
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Mix in a Jar
Project Page Link (if available): Partner Received

Brief Description: As a busy witch one of the things I find most difficult is finding time to make delicious homemade food. Lately I've been learning different ways to help make dinner easier.

One of the ways is freezing a serving of chicken in a marinade so while it defrosts, it also becomes extra yummy.

Our 3 favorite concoctions are
Cherry Balsamic, Mustard, Marsala, Ginger, Mushrooms, and Zucchini
White Wine, Onions (Walla Walla), Mushrooms, Garlic, Basil, Oregano
Olive Oil,  and Mustard
Red Wine Vinegar, Onion Salt, Thyme, Sage, Dijon Mustard, Olive Oil

Anyway another way that I'm saving time is preparing mixes in jars ahead of time so things can be made more easily in the evening when time is limited.

For the Back to Hogwarts swap I made 3 sets of Jar Mixes using these recipes:
Confettie Cake
Mug Cake
Oatmeal Cookies
Recipies I shared with partner

Class/Challenge/House Pride: flying
House: Gryffindor
Project Name:  TARDIS yarn dispenser
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=414999.msg4905636#msg4905636
Brief Description: I made this for the doctor who swap but it fits the flying class perfectly.  It is blue for one and it flys!!  My partner is an amazing knitter and I wanted to give her something useful and decorative. So the TARDIS yarn dispenser was born.  The yarn goes inside and comes out the top.

Harry witnessed Professor McGonagall walking right past Peeves who was determinedly loosening a crystal chandelier and could have sworn he heard her tell the poltergeist out of the corner of her mouth 'It unscrews the other way.

OWL DONE!

OWL Subject & Option (if available): Divination, option 2 - create a dream item
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=413509.msg4889372#msg4889372
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Dream Journal
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I set out to find something that could take me a month, which was not easy.  I'm a crafter that will spend every waking moment to do it until it is done.  So this owl was on patience.  And it sure beat me up!  I knew I had to get to at least 20 dreams and towards the end of the month when I wanted-neeeeded to be done, I started drowsily writing down dreams no matter what the time.  *on that note I had some very interesting notes to read over when iphone's autocorrect was helping me out hahaha!  I think I'll keep my journal around for those dreams that are super story dreams but I'm not so sure I'll make myself write down notes for every dream.
I started by repurposing a plain note card holder.  I figured a moon and star would be great for a dream journal, covered it, and painted it purple with some golden touches.  Then after every dream I could remember, I wrote the storyline down an drew a picture to go with it.
Interesting HP connection dream notes:  Harry Potter in a colonial style dress was in one (he was in disguise Wink, I was the protector of a magical creatures school, and one of you gryffindor crafters made a two story cupcake castle creation.

finished notebook

finished dream drawings... as you can see by the pics alone, some were some pretty strange dreams lol
