Challenge: Gemino/DADA
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Chocolate Sleighs
Brief Description: I made three little chocolate sleighs to go with my niece and nephews gifts this Christmas.  I found the project idea over here (thanks Pinterest  Wink).  I've also learned during my studies that chocolate can be very effective in warding off the nasty side effects of nearby dementors.  So should any of those cheer sucking baddies show up at my in-laws this holiday season I think we will be set on chocolaty goodness.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Herbology
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: boquet ornament
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.comeonilene.com/2011/12/16/wedding-memory-capsule-christmas-ornament/
Brief Description:

My best friend just got married this year and I wanted to make her some ornaments to go on their first Christmas together. Cheesy  So I took the flowers from my boquet (she had the same one, plus a few more flowers) and dried them, sticking it in the ornament and decorating the top. While I was pulling apart some of the flowers (they were just too big to fit in that tiny hole) I'd noticed some of them gone to seed! So, I'll be giving her the seeds separately so she can plant them in her garden.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Alchemy
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Golden Angel Gnome
Project Page Link (if available): n/a
Brief Description: I participated in the Harry Potter Holiday swap and my dc package # says my partner received a few days ago. That project fits perfectly here! In my partner's questionairre, she'd posted that one of her favorite quotes from the book was:

"Fred, George, Harry, and Ron were the only ones who knew that the angel on top of the tree was actually a garden gnome that had bitten Fred on the ankle as he pulled up carrots for Christmas dinner. Stupefied, painted gold, stuffed into a miniature tutu and with small wings glued to its back, it glowered down at them all, the ugliest angel Harry had ever seen, with a large bald head like a potato and rather hairy feet."

So, that is exactly what I made.

Isn't he cute and ugly all at the same time? Cheesy

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Shiny wedding invitation ornament
Project Page Link (if available): http://christyrobbins.blogspot.com/2011/07/wedding-invitation-ornament.html
Brief Description:
Like I said before, my best friend got married and I'm making her ornaments to remind her of the day for their first Christmas together. This time, I took a few of her wedding invitations and sliced them into strips, curled them around pens, and then popped the curls into the ornament. To add a little more pizaaz, I added rhinestones to the top and used an extra sparkly blue ribbon for the top. I put little charms of their initials on around the top as well. She'll have to keep this one higher up on the tree so the nifflers don't get it. Wink

Everyone is getting really creative, I love it!

The bracelets and ornaments are shiny and bright-
The wee candy sleighs beat back dementors all right!
The poor garden gnome with face painted gold-
The HP craft threads will never grow old!

(I know, I know, I should have hollered "Dork alert!" first. oh well.)

Fun stuff, everyone! Oh, and congrats FiberAlchemist!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.
