Project Name: Holly Jolly Baby Hats
Brief Description: I bought these holiday yarn colors awhile ago, and decided the best present would be to make baby hats for the Pine Ridge OB Ward Holiday Celebration.

fab ant: I thionk you should still use it. That photo sounds like it's much more about the two of you than him anyway, and it will remind her that he was never the whole of her life (even on her wedding day). I don't think I'm explaining very well but hopefully you can see where I'm going

Thanks, Noodle Bug. I think you're right.  Yes, it is from her wedding day, but the actual photo is more about us as sisters, and that's the theme of the quilt.

I think I will use it, after-all, like Fiber Alchemist says she can tuck the gift away if it is not comforting until such a time as it will be...

Project Name: I Spy Ornaments
Brief Description: Made these ornaments for simple brother and sister family gifts.  Got the idea for ornaments from craft snob and I have made I Spy Bags before, so I had lots of treasures already.  One hint though.  These do not work with the styrofoam beads.  When I tried everything just hid right into the styrofoam and nothing would come out.  If you do it, use poly pellets or maybe glitter snow.  The styrofoam just was a staticy mess.

Working on my November Quidditch Challenge.  I put together 60 craft kits for Caitlin's Smiles while watching tv with DH tonight.     I'm hoping to put together another 20 or so tomorrow morning.

Brief Description: Here in the magical world there are plenty of spells to protect from the scary monsters in the dark, even in the Muggle world you might find yourself lucky enough to have a Winchester brother or two at hand. For the rest of us the best defence and greatest comfort against the dark, is a little light!
Using assorted jars, I've made these neat candles, partly inspired by Hermione Granger's own fire in a jar trick!

Brief Description: I am just too good at Transfiguration it seems, or maybe I got super bored in detention and decided to re-purpose Snape's precious beetles, either way I have way more buttons than I know what to do with!
This wrap-around bracelet is made from braided twine and a mess of pretty buttons!

Brief Description:
My pots of tea cool down way too quickly, and I've never managed to do a proper heating charm. So when the wand wouldn't work, I turned to my crochet hook and stitched up a tea cozy. It's made from green yarn from an old favorite sweater that had gotten too big (you've seen it before in other projects) and some white stash yarn. Worth its weight in gold because I can make a pot of tea last for longer than half an hour. Fewer toilet stops necessary

I made these cookies for chughes in the Breaking Dawn Swap. They are like raspberry thumbprint cookies, only vampy!

OWL Update:

I made french onion soup today so I had LOTS of leftover onion skins!



I boiled them in some water and let it cook down until I had some color concentrate:



Next step: mordant!
