Class/Challenge/House Pride: DIVINATION
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Magical Crochet Palmistry Mittens
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=416462.0
Brief Description: So my grandmother reads palms - I thought this would make a great gift for her. I used a really simple palmistry sample for the embroidery, but it's cryptic enough that a muggle wouldn't get it. Which we like.

The mittens themselves are a really simple pattern, worked Back Loop Only so they retain a bit more warmth, since winters get really cold around here. There's just the right amount of give, and I couldn't be happier with them! I want to make another pair, they look so fab.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Detention ~ September
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Owl Post Bookmarks
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=416525.0
Brief Description: I bought the charms and bookmarks for these weeks ago, but never got around to putting them together.  They've been sitting on my craft table just mocking me since then, so yesterday I finally put them together!  I really love how these ones turned out.  Especially the Montana blue Swarovski crystals against the antiqued bronze metal.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: House Unity
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Sorting Hat Bookmarks
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=416525.0
Brief Description: I bought these charms at the same time as the Hedwig charms above, but wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them.  Yesterday I decided that they would also become bookmarks, and am pleased with how they turned out.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: House Unity

Note from the Deputy Headmistress...

I was very busy crafting all weekend, and never got around to doing a Witch of the Week yesterday.  Since we didn't have tons of posts in the last week anyways, I'll be waiting till this Sunday, then choosing one from all the entries for that two week span.  Let's see what you got ladies!!!

Sorry I've been away from the HPC for a bit...I've either been homeschooling, in the midst of crazy-busy band activities as my son's band prepared for state marching competition (and spending some quality time with him since he is rarely at home these days), or working signups for the HP Holiday Swap.  Prays and blessing continue to go out to all those affected by Sandy.  Okay, let's see what fabulousness has been posted....

@jennie: mmmmm....Pumpkin Spice!  Owl Post Bookmark is fab; adore the owl charm....Kiss for the reminder I can do past Detentions.  YAY Sorting Hat!!! Another fab charm...and speaking of charms, yet another wondrously charming bracelet!!!

@consultingcorsair: Lovin' your pumpkins! Adore your knitted DFTBA Pendant!  Shocked LOVE the Fish-Custard Cakes.  And your Zombie Doll is going to be epic!

@seeuudee: What a great autumnal design! Love the little leaves, and HOORAY HOOPLA!

@Kit the Brave: Way To Go on finishing you OWL!!! Grin

@FiberAlchemist: Kiss for my CFC!  You're the best Professor!

@Melissaurus: Just Awesome!  I'm in love with your Palmistry Mitts!

@spikefan: adorable petite pumpkins!

@pottermouth: Cheesy I absolutely LOVE the Ministry of Silly Walks Costume!!!  And such fab expressive pumpkins Cool

Okay, I think I'm all caught up.  Be back soon with November Quidditch! Cool

Eek! Cheesy So glad you guys like them! I'll hopefully get Zombie's head finished, and start on the body by the end of the week. Hopefully.

@jennieingram - That bracelet is just brilliant, as are the bookmarks! The Owl Post charm is lovely.

@Melissaurus - Those gloves are a really neat idea (and they look really cosy... :3)
