Wow, Jennieingram you've outdone even yourself on that package! To mix pop culture references I say, "Talented Trelawney, Batman!"

Harry witnessed Professor McGonagall walking right past Peeves who was determinedly loosening a crystal chandelier and could have sworn he heard her tell the poltergeist out of the corner of her mouth 'It unscrews the other way.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Divination
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Henna Hands
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: When I kept reading hands, all I kept hearing in my head was henna.  I kept trying to tell myself you need to craft hands not decorate your hands, but my mind wasn't listening and letting me do something else, lol.  So brought the henna out last night and decorated my hands.  Of course my girls had to have some too (they got an owl and ghost on their legs for halloween).  Doing henna on your own hand, not having another hand to steady makes doing lines straight a bit more difficult I found out! So my lines aren't great, but it's fun either way.  So here's my hand!

Aaand sorry, but off topic time.  You can run away screaming if you like!
But I just got a GIANT lot of beads off ebay!  40 pounds of beads.  I can't wait to start playing with them.  Expect a bunch more class projects featuring beads LOL

I'm BACK! Cheesy  I've been on vacation with my inlaws (a 28-hour car drive round-trip  Shocked) but it went really well!  Baby girl cried a total of maybe 35-40 minutes the entire car trip, which is miraculous considering we had to take the Coquihalla highway, which is incredibly mountainous.  I was ready to cry myself with the ear pain!

Challenge: Hallowe'en
House: Gryffindor
Name: Pumpkin band

So it's her first Hallowe'en, and our little jaunt down into the States for a few hours netted me a cute little "My First Hallowe'en" onesie at good ol' Tar-jay (Can't wait until they start building ours!).  It's a bit boyish looking as it's grey and black, so I thought I'd make a little headband to go with it!  I used Microjivvy's clipart from the "Hot New Topics" page as the basis for the pumpkin.

OWL Subject & Option: Potions ~ Option 1
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Gryffin-ghan!
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=415769.0

Brief Description: This was my first large-scale crochet project, and it made me nervous taking on such a large item.  (I actually started it August 6th, and finished it on October 13th!)  I've made scarves and dishcloths before, but never anything as big as this.  The pattern is called the Cozy Man-ghan and is available free on the Caron website.  It is made of Caron Simply Soft in Black, Garnet & Maize.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Ancient Runes
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Ancient Runes Bracelet
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=415771.0

It's no secret that I love to make charm bracelets.  Sometimes though, I make one that I am really pleased with.  This one was inspired by the subject of Ancient Runes, but I wanted it to be really subtle and something could be worn with everyday clothing.  The charms include the runes for Happiness, Humanity, Inner Peace, Courage, Victory, Knowledge, Lifeforce, Luck, Strength, and Success.  The beads are all semi-precious stones including moonstone for passion, lapis lazuli for healing, garnet for success, rose quartz for love, cherry quartz, blueberry quartz for stress-relief, and amethyst for protection and wisdom.

Wow!  That's a massive afghan - well done!  And I absolutely adore the charm bracelet.  You make such beautiful pieces!  Do you still take commisions? Wink

Time for me to turn-in some homework!
House: Gryffindor

Class: Apparition
Project Name: Shell Cottage Bracelet

"Bill and Fleur's cottage stood alone on a cliff overlooking the sea, its walls embedded with shells and whitewashed... Wherever Harry went inside the tiny cottage or its garden, he could hear the constant ebb and flow of the sea, like the breathing of some great, slumbering creature. He spent much of the next few days making excuses to escape the crowded cottage, craving the cliff-top view of open sky and wide, empty sea, and the feel of cold, salty wind on his face"
I would love to travel to Shell Cottage....live there if I could...

Class: Care of Magical Creatures
Project Name: Niffler Treasure Trove
Owl Emporium Herbology Set

Gryffindor Stitch Markers (Theme: First Years Pets and CoMC Studies)

A little pink earrings

Follow the Butterflies Earrings

...A niffler could not resist this much sparkle! Cool
