Wow, this thread just explodes when you don't check it often.

I am totally loving all the shared recipes!!

@ patty-o-furniture: I totally love that pi bracelet! It's just the type of jewelry I like to wear, and I like how subtle it is in it's geekery. And... can I come live in your craft room?

@ ttarsia: I think that shawl is beautiful! I really need to knit more.

@ lightninglisa: I could not stop laughing at that image!! I think I may just have to use it for my pi assignment!

@ tiamatfire: I think you should totally sell the pattern!! You may consider it dead simple, but I am not a good enough knitter to figure out how to make something like that by looking at it! But I can follow a pattern well enough to make something that's more advanced. Even if only a few people buy it, that's still money you didn't have before. Smiley

@ the_essence:

AllyCatAria - wow what a good idea! I don't watch Firefly but it looks great! Where did you find the base?

Thanks! Actually, my mom (also a huge Firefly fan) had seen it while shopping. I had her grab it for me. I think it was either kmart or target? I'm not sure. But it was in the toy section.

Tia, I'm not sure what I love more.  The hat, your daughter's giant smile, or the TARDIS tee she's wearing!

Thanks guys!  I made the TARDIS onesie too - it's just a plain navy onesie with the TARDIS stencilled in white.

Congrats Abbeeroad on being the WotW Wink  It really is a great project!

Class: Flying
House: Gryffindor
Project Name: Blue Baby Converse
Brief Description: My niece has just had a baby boy and what better way to say congrats than knitting a pair of converse. I started with this pattern http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-converse-shoes which I liked the look of but did not have the right size crochet hook in my collection so ended up doing this pattern instead http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-converse-gestrickt

And I also wanted to say how amazing the crafts being posted are. I am surrounded by some very crafty witches and wizards  Grin

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Herbology
House: Gryffindor
Project Name & Page Link: Happy Healthy Grownup Bento

I have been trying for the last several months to plan bright, attractive, and healthy lunches for my husband and I to keep us from spending money on unhealthy alternatives.  Since DH isn't a very whimsical person, I don't usually make them all that cute, but since today's was inspired by the HPC, I went with a cute plant theme for Herbology class.

Today's lunch includes: sushi rice with edamame & shallots, cucumber & green pepper flowers, yellow pepper strips, steamed broccoli & carrots, dried apricots & cranberries, and sweet & spicy chicken.

In case any of you would like to try this yourself, you will find the recipes for the rice with edamame & the sweet & spicy chicken sauce in the project post. (Happy Healthy Grownup Bento.)  Also, I've submitted my project in the current cooking challenge.  It looks like it's between the awesome patty_o_furniture & I!  Be sure to vote when the poll goes up!

Finally, I'd like to note that the beautiful Mug Rug under my lunch was made by the lovely and talented MareMare in the Mug Rug Swap, and the Ollivander's wand chop sticks were made by Andromeda007 in the Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Swap.  Thank you ladies!!!
