@seeuudee, that is GORGEOUS! I can just imagine Snape's reaction to your working on pretty rainbow-colored stuff in detention...

Oh lightninglisa, are you just right about it being an amazing day for flying! Weather here is unusually warm for september (we don't often get 28C, not even at the peak of summer!) so I was really happy to get on my broom - just sitting was too hot, soaring through the sky made temperatures bearable. Inspired bu the clear heavens, I'm working on a sky blue project in tunisian crochet (new technique for me!) but I'm not sure what it will become yet. I started with the idea of making a bag, starting with the shoulder strap, but I might have too little yarn. The tunisian crochet is a lot firmer than traditional crochet though, so I might keep it as a belt Smiley

AntBee: yay on you for commiting to that quilt. I'm way to familiar with the procrastination monster, tackling it can be so empowering.

Also, dame blanche ice cream for all Slytherins at the lakeside to celebrate my new prefect status. Enjoy!

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Ride Across Black Lake
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Hermione Points the Way
Brief Description: The moment the First Years cross the Black Lake is a momentous one, an unforgettable one; the magic is about to begin. Even Hermione is in awe, even though she read all about it in Hogwarts, A History.

I am still messing around with the layout and will probably rework the background. I think I do that a lot...also need to focus these pics!  Huh

Before the background:

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Black Lake
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mermaid Tail Nails
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Wanted to show the Black Lake mermaid's scales.  Started with a shimmery dark purple and added some green touches at the tips, then went over the whole nail with two kinds of purple glitter.  Used one of my nail stamps to give the scale effect in a light black, then added hexagonal golden glitter in patches.  Love the look!

After much debating, I have chosen what I would like to do for my first OWL!

OWL Subject & Option(if available): Charms
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name: Counter for Confundus
Brief Description: I've always marvelled at the talent of those who are able to create handspun yarn. I've drooled over the Fiber Fridays and listed it as something loved in multiple swap questionnaires. Last winter, I received a drop spindle and a bit of roving in a swap. I recently played with it a bit, and was able to repel the Confundus charm that has been on me a bit. With the goal in mind of countering the Confundus, I purchased 12 oz of roving to play with. In order to counter the Confundus charm, I plan on watching many videos on the muggle "YouTube" and research how to properly use the drop spindle to turn this roving into yarn.

While transferring to our new format, I missed one important HPC project prompt.  At the HPC we always welcome....

~*House Pride & House Unity*~
You can turn in as many House Pride or House Unity projects as you wish.  These are projects inspired by one of the Hogwarts Houses.  House Pride would be projects representing your house, and House Unity would be projects representing the other houses or a combination of houses.  They can be inspired by house colors, mascots, founders, heads, past members, house ghosts, etc.

I have also added this prompt in its proper place on the first page, second post.
