I have been a crochet addict since I first decided to make a baby hat for my unborn daughter in April and I've been going to bed at 2am here and there because Ijust cant put that darn hook down

Here are few things I made over the past week.

A friend of mine asked me to make her a very hungry caterpillar photo prop for her 3 month old, I used my 4 month old as a model. I absolutely love how it turned out, it was really easy to make even without  a pattern.

here is a work in progress shot with the first hat I made, I didnt like the yarn being different so I made the other hat later on

So then I made a big flower and put it on the first hat

here is how I made the flower http://i.mimibazar.cz/h/bc/12/090623/14/p4166.jpg (not sure what it's called, a diagram??)
and finally 2 headbands

I got the pattern for the headbands here http://osuraccoon.blogspot.com/2011/03/easy-newborn-headband-crochet-pattern.html

if I knew crochet was so easy I'd learn it long time ago. I learned by watching youtube videos  Grin

My stepsister just had a baby and she wants me to make her a very hungry caterpillar sack and hat like the one you made.  Did you just use a variegated green yarn for the sack?  And how did you do the antennae?  I am sure that I can find a baby sack pattern somewhere I just want to make sure that it looks decent were the colors are concerned.  You did a fantastic job too btw!!!  Grin

The little headbands are so cute on your baby!  I love how expressive her face is!!! (especially the one of her on the blanket!) You know I love your baby, Sylwa!!!

You will find so many things to crochet for her....she is one lucky baby!

Love the hats, but the caterpillar hat (with her expression!) in the first picture just made my day! Cheesy

Hi Smiley
I used hook size M/9mm abd this yarn http://www.joann.com/lion-brand-homespun-yarn/prd18909/ and I bought it in green apple and pesto and just alternated every 3-4 rows. I used HDC and DC, kinda alternating again. So I would do 1 row hdc then DC then hdc again, switch color and do hdc but only through the back back loop so it would show the top 2 loops on the front of the sack. And just kinda alternate as you like.
For the hat I used the same type of yarn in Candy Apple. The Antennae are just chain stitch but using 3 strands of yarn instead of one. The eyes, nose and antennae are made using red hearts super saver worsted yarn in green, yellow and brown. Hope this helps  Smiley

Thank you Alwaysinmyroom! She's been an absolute joy to be around, and I agree, I see a LOT of cool stuff that I want to make for her. If only there were more hour in the day and Ihad the extra energy for it  Grin

oh you should kmichelle! It is a lot of fun, I like it more than sewing Smiley and thank you, Anastazie is the cutest baby in the world, I am sure of it  Grin
