I've made a number of patchwork baby blankets but have never actually "pieced" a quilt. But then, I saw this quilt and fell in love (with the colors and the beautiful simplicity of it). So, I made my own pattern pieces and here is my attempt:

I know I have a long way to go but I was just too excited not to share. WOOT!

very nice! I have only tried piecing a couple of times on one tiny square, I'm kind of scared of doing a whole quilt.

I, too, was scared of doing an entire quilt. However, I must say, it was actually a lot of fun! I think quilting is something like childbirth; while you're doing- especially the first time- you think to yourself: "WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE DO THIS?!!?!?" Once it is over you think to yourself: "That wasn't so bad... I could do that again."  Grin
