crayon tinted lip balm?

thats pretty neat, but if you use too much crayon, will it work? i mean, you cant exactly color you lip with crayons. please post when youre done (if youre goning to do it.)

i think i would buy it just because it has crayons in it. I love crayons. i want to be a crayon. plus you could always put one of those fake "not intended as a cosmetic" notes on it like people do when the sell cigars on ebay as collectors items "meant for colloection puropses only"

I agree! Crayola should market crayon lipbalm! As for the "novelty only" warnings, I always thought those were so stupid! Like, during the holidays you look in catalogs and there are lots of things, dishes in particular, that are decorative and NOT meant to be used AT ALL. What does ANYONE want with a decorative coffee cup or plate that you CAN'T USE?! I am the LAST person to prefer function over fashion, but come on! Grandma opens her Xmas gift and says, "Oh, what a pretty coffee cup!" and you scream in horror, "BUT DON'T USE IT! ITS JUST FOR DECORATION!"

i tried using vaseline + crayon shavings + melting in the mocrowave = sucky polka dotted vaseline. the crayons didn't melt.

I was gonna try and microwave a batch to see how it turns out.  The crayons and the vaseline probably liquefy at different temperatures.  I wonder if either of the following methods would work:

1.  Melt both components separately and then combine them.

2.  Mix both together and melt them with my electric candle warmer.

Has anyone had success?

crayon and beeswax works just fine. maybe because they are both waxes? but yes, mine had a slight tint.. i couldnt tell at first, but i put some on my pale arm (i will never tan...) and there's definately a reddish color. im tempted to try other colors.. green, blue, purple... but i think it would make my lips look funny.
