Here's another image conversion of mine. This is the retro version of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation logo. The CBC makes government-funded TV and radio, which I listen to all day long.

Some progress pics:

I'm thrilled with how this turned out. I'm getting much faster and cleaner with my stitching, which is super satisfying.

Love it!  As soon as I saw it on the front page I knew it was the CBC logo.

It's making a comeback--I see it on hats and t-shirts all the time. Granted, mostly at the kinds of places where you'd find a bunch of CBC fans: farmer's markets, music festivals, university campus...

man! I used to think he really WAS a giant - the miniature furniture totally fooled me. Rusty was creepy though. And the CBC logo caught me right away! - love the retro!

Don't forget memories of the NFB videos too, and David Suzuki's Nature of Things.  I see that logo and I just start the log driver's waltz.   Every once in a while I am up early enough to see them start their broad cast day with the various images of Canada and Canadians through history, and the national anthem.  Love the retro logo!

Great work, you got the colors and. Style down perfectly.  I love it.
I think if I could do anything I wanted with my time a large portion of it would be listening to Radio 1.

Great job, a perfect reproduction of the logo. I also spend hours every day listening to Radio 1. In fact, I have withdrawal symptoms if I don't get my daily fix!

Wow! Can I just say that I am amazed that you stitched the background in blue instead of using blue aida cloth? Dedication!!!

More of an obsessive need to get the colour right than dedication, but thanks!

I'm doing the same thing with my next big project--11X14 inches, background all stitched. I don't know why, but I prefer it.

I adore this! I still miss Peter Gzowski. I used to tell my kids to "look up, look waaaay up" too.

I've been a long-time CBC radio fan who used to listen every day but I live in a town with the worst radio reception ever, and my house is in a dead zone. Someday I will live somewhere with better reception.

Thanks for pulling out some of my memories.

I need to make this, and every other variation of the CBC logo. CBC plays a huge role in my family and the "Exploding Pizza" logo holds a special place in my heart. My dad has worked for CBC for more than 30 years and I am (sort of) following in his television-production footsteps. I have to show this to him and to my mom. <3

I love the way that logo looks, and you executed it beautifully. I can't believe you stitched that entire background! I'm way too impatient for that, but yours turned out great and extremely clean!
