Okay, now I have 2 sets of 3 ATC backgrounds. But I finally found an idea and the materials were almost totally free!

So I had no clue how many I was supposed to make when I just dove in and got going.  I have 6 cards done and 3 in progress.  I think maybe I need to start reading directions twice  Roll Eyes

I had a busy day today but came up with a few ideas for some ATCs. Ive already made six but Im not sure if I am happy with all of them so Ill just keep making them; besides they are way too much fun!!

Thanks for all the links Jillybeans, youre the best!!

This weekend is kinda crazy with all the things I have to do, so I think next weekend is going to be my ATC weekend. I haven't decided yet whether to draw or use my cute Halloween stamps.

Pop-ups! What are you doing to us, Jillybeans? Now I'll never be satisfied until I've tried those, too!

I like your suggestion of taping the plastic sleeve to a card. This sounds like the voice of postal experience. Angry

In addition to the greeting card idea, which really does work well, I have found that putting the words "please hand cancel" on it or taking it directly into the post office and asking for it to be postmarked by hand helps to keep it from getting mangled.

Right, I've done a test layout and it needs tweaks. Need to do some on-line shopping!  Wink

I would also recommend everyone taping their ATCs into the card they send it in, or into the envelope.  Sometimes those postal machines will slit the bottom and the ATC will fall out.  Its so sad to get an empty envelope!  I buy cheap cards from Michaels, put my ATC into a clear sleeve, and I tape that inside of the card.  It gives it some protection and also ensures that it won't fall out.

Yeah taping is a good idea just seems safer to me but I started using that putty stuff you get to hang posters, that way if you are out of the plastic sleeves you don't have to worry about the tape damaging the card.
