I've had three of these little boxes for years now (well four, but my roommate stole one and glued glitter and pom poms to it lol) but I just can't think of a crafty enough use for them. Any ideas?

Oh and by the way they're all only a couple inches across.

You may decorate them and add little clock inside.

If you paint or otherwise decorate them, they'd be great as little gift/trinket boxes for holidays and birthdays!

A Handmade Memento Mobile!

Take the boxes and paint and decorate the outside, back and rims. Then create inside each star a collage or 3D assemblage of images you love, mementos, etc. This art is done on the inside of each star.

Thread a bead on heavy but pretty colored floss or thread then thread through the top of each star (the stars are on end vertically at this point).

Connect the stars in different lengths of thread to a lovely branch or stick for a really cool handmade mobile.

Decorate the sides and top.  Poke holes in the top and atttach a bead or button to make it easier to open.  Nifty ring box or small jewelry box.

I decorated boxes just like these with school colors & emblems and gave them to my sons when they graduated.  One son uses his to store his class ring, Senior key, etc. - mementos of school days.  I think the other son is using his for spare keys.

String a ribbon through holes poked into one of the points so it can be hung and decorate with wrapping paper, markers, fabric, or paint.  They would make great Christmas ornaments.

The oblong, square or round ones make great doll luggage.  Again with ribbon tied through holes poked in the boxes.  Glue ribbon to the inside of both pieces to make a top that opens more like luggage.

Great for storing scrapbooking embellishments, buttons, & other small items for any crafts you might enjoy.
