Do you have a special machine? How long have you been doing embroidery?

I run an alternative embroidery company called Urban Threads. I designed all the embroidery and then it gets digitized and stitched out by our machines. I've been doing Urban Threads for about three years now, it's a blast! I'm so glad you like the designs.

you haven't put Crane Wife up here, have you? I love that piece so much (and you made me listening to that song/others from the artist for a couple of days.. Cheesy)

You know, I never did post the Crane Wife here, we went pretty in depth on the blog about it, but I should share it here too! I'm so glad you like it, and happy to introduce anyone to the Decemberists Wink

That's all for such nice comments! We really had a blast making this. I'm already scheming up my next collaboration...

i love your collaborations, i've e-mailed UT a couple of times, i "liked" you on FB and i get your newsletter, and i'm always totally excited when the newsletter comes - the crane wife and this gown have been my faves in the recent ages. although, i haven't payed much attention to your awesome tutes now that there has been so much more enjoyable things. i'm so waiting for the next collaboration. these are interesting to see AND i personally know how fulfilling it is to work with other people, i'm such an overly social person Cheesy i'd actually love if someone just drew things with me.. you know, me in the other side of the room and someone on the other, and we wouldn't communicate necissarily BUT just the inspiring feeling of making something and knowing that someone is creating something too!

sorry, i've been making embroideries (designs and physical embroideries) the whole day, and am a little cooky. and i did a bad thing, i copied one of your ideas to make an embroidery! i will show it here and give credits where credits are due, of course! Wink
