So we are renting and can't change out the ugly chandelier...but I can remove the stupid plastic pieces. FYI when we moved in like 20 of the pieces were missing Sad

I had some cool old xrays (I work at a vet and they were being recycled anyway)
I cut them into strips, hole punched to top and hung them on my light fixture.
Now we have a fantastic new light!

*Yes that is my hand. There is also an xray of a rat, a cats abdomen and a broken leg in a cast Smiley

That is sooo much more fun than the original even if it hadn't been missing pieces. <3 it!

Nice use for old x-rays and much better than a tatty plastic chandelier.

That is so fun.

I wonder if I went to my vet and asked if I could get old x-rays if they would let me?

They have to keep xrays for a certain amount of years but if they have digital xray chances are they have leftover xrays that they may not want. Never hurts to ask  Wink

very cool! and interesting use of x-yas Wink

also, oh my crap! we had the same chandelier in our entrance way when we bought our house!  only ours had taupe-colored plastic pieces.  i thought it would've been cool to have just the wire frame painted black....but lost the motivation once we took the light down.    you're re-vamp is much easier Smiley
