This wallet was made with fabrics from Spoonflower. Has anyone here used that website before? There are tons of freaking amazing fabric patterns, but I don't understand why a fat quarter is 12$ and a full yard is 20$...

The pink fabric is from here.

The green fabric is from here.

To read more about it check out my blog.

I love Spoonflower!  The difference might be the labor...a yard of fabric has to be cut once...fat quarter...twice Wink and once cut, it has to be sold to 4 different people..it might not sell for a long time...at least that was what I was told by a friend who works in a quilt shop! Cheesy

anyhoo--you picked wonderful fabrics..beautiful work..the two zippered compartments are very useful...your binding looks perfect and the detail you give to the zipper end is very professional looking..

I am sure your client was very happy!

That's a great wallet. I like the many pockets and the beautiful colors.

i just ordered off that site actually. i was in love with some of their prints. they have some thing where you put a code in and you get a fat quarter for free, just paying the shipping...i got pac-man knit fabric for 2 bucks Smiley the code was ETSYPARTY12 maybe the deal is still going on. i really like that pink fabric you got.

Spoonflower rocks, but for me the attraction is being able to create my own fabric - I used a painting my son did in 1st grade and got some cool fabric from it - need to do that with a pic from my daughter, too . . .

That said, the wallet looks fantastic!  Great job! Cheesy
