The challenge was issued in May.  Use this book, that song, this painting or this picture as inspiration to make a quilt.  All summer I KNEW I was going to make an Alice in Wonderland quilt.  I had the fabric.  I knew it was going to be great.

One week before the deadline, I saw the seaweed fabric.   Five days before the deadline, I went back to the LQS and bought it.  Two days before the deadline, I started the Yellow Submarine table runner.

Poor Alice, some things are just not meant to be.  Details.

I love this!  So simple, but very apparent that it's the yellow submarine.  I would have had to purchase that seaweed fabric too!  It's beautiful.  Wish I could have seen the Alice in Wonderland though.....

It is beautiful!  What a fabulous challenge!

I think we all have those "someday" quilts in our closet! Cheesy

Mine is my blue and white tile quilt...I think it is maybe 8 years in the making... Sad  or rather, NOT making! Smiley

It is my belief that it doesn't count as a UFO if you haven't actually started to sew anything together.
