About a year ago, I was wandering in a yarn store when I found a very beautiful pair of fair isle mittens made with a varigated yarn and a solid colored yarn. I fell in love with the look of it and I wanted to make a pair for myself. I chose the varigated yarn in pink, beige and brown-purple and purple for the solid color. I found a fair isle mittens pattern on Drops design (link to the free pattern: http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/pattern.php?id=5318&lang=en).

I made the first mitten and then it went in my unfinished project bin (I do that a lot with socks and mittens Wink ). I picked it up this week and I'm happy to have finished!!  Cheesy

Here is a picture of the mittens, I love both the pattern and the yarns I used!

The pattern for the inside of the mittens.

Here is a close-up of the beautiful yarns!

These mittens are gonna keep me warm all winter!

Now, what to do with the leftover yarn? Matching hat?

Lovely colours.  I envy you for being able to knit Fairisle.  My tension is hopeless when it comes to mixing yarns in the same row.  I can only manage very simple patterns.

So glad you won!  These mittens must have taken up a pretty chunk of time.  You'll have to show us what you make out of your prize yarn.

Thank you very much! I am very excited to have won!

I'm planning on making socks with the yarn I won, I don't know the pattern yet (I want to see the yarn first!), I'll post pictures afterwards!
