This is the dress Mina is wearing in the absithne scene in Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola. Probably the most famous costume from the movie, it’s been made by lovely and missed Eiko Ishioka.
I found that dress so amazing and I’m crazy about red. I made it for a meeting organized by a french forum, the theme is Dracula so every people who’s taking part of this meeting is making a costume from this movie!

That is stunning! I've never seen the movie but now I want to just for the costuming. I was interested in the ruffle-y trim so I read your blog posts on this dress and am now even more amazed: all those petals! You did a gorgeous job. The entire outfit is simply beautiful.

The costumes were some of the main things I remember about that movie. I always thought that dress was stunning.......this is too! Gorgeous work!
