These are the two fabric wallhanging houses I made for my partners in the Anything Goes Tiny House swap.  Both are 4" square, with a cord for hanging sewn to the top.  That's where their similarities end.

I made this one for microjivvy.  She tends to like darker colors and themes than I normally employ, so I tried to go that direction with this house.  I call it "The Wizard's Cottage" because I think the roof looks like a wizard's hat!  I sketched it on paper and then referred to the sketch as I cut the fabrics freehand.  All the fabric edges were left raw as I sewed it on the machine.  The edges were blanket stitched by hand.

On the other end of the color spectrum is this one, "The Very Bright House".  I made it for Kimbles, who seems to like brighter colors.  When I was finished I thought it looked fantastic, but I was afraid it might be too bright for Kimbles, but she says it's great, yay!

This one was constructed the same as the first.  I included a cat in the window because Kimbles has a cat, and the number on the door is her actual house number.  They were both a blast to make because leaving the fabric edges raw allowed me to move quickly, so my enthusiasm didn't dim before the project was done!

I love them both! They are so different and that's what makes it interesting, doesn't it?

Isn't it great to leave the edges raw and so be able to go with the flow? You can dive deeper into your creativity, no stopping and turning, pressing a lot, haha a different way of sewing! Love it! It looks stunning! And even with the raw edges it looks so neat  Cheesy !

OOOh, these are wonderful.  I love the moody colours of the first picture, and the peeking moon.  The mood of the second one couldn't be any different if you tried, bright and cheerful!  Hard to choose between them, they're both wonderful.
