OMG! I received yesterday because they accidentally delivered to my neighbor. I am in love with everything. I didn't have time to open it until today after work. My husband is super excited about the package as well.

I will post pictures tomorrow after work! Don't think I forgot about you the_essence.

Cheesy
- The necklace is actually perfectly cross stitched! Pabu and Aang are felted badges ready to pin.. Very awesome! Amazing detail! The four nations is on a frame-block so it looks great on the wall, like it were a stone jutting out.

The coasters are mini canvases first painted with coffee and salt (for texture) and then watercolours and watercolour pencils; and finally a 0.3mm pen for the lines. I wanted it to look really rustic.

And the pendant was one of my first incursions into resin casting so it was a little nerve-racking but very fun. I cast it over a little glitter on the edges to make it sparkle LOL.

I'd love to get HollyBowers impressions.. Sad She's a bit hard to reach but definitely no flaker! She sent me lovely and really thought out items.
Success!

I never would have guessed they are canvases! Coffee and salt? Who knew!

They came out really great. Did you seal them with anything after you were done?

Oh.. no I didn't seal them :S
Hope that wont be an issue...

If you add salt to your water colours (on paper), it gives them interesting little patterns as the salt makes the pigments adhere to the little salt particles. It's pretty much the same principle with coffee. Coffee is just something i use for "old worldly" textures, just as you would use tea for parchment paper. The difference is that coffee is much thicker and darker ... I had done this for inchie backgrounds but it was my first try with canvas Tongue

I'm going to give the salt trick a try with my son, thanks! I think he'll really like playing with the effects.

You probably don't have to worry about not sealing them - I was still thinking they were coasters!

Huraaaay~! Everyone is green now! Of course Sakaki posts pictures like 20 minutes after I write my "hello we haven't heard from you?" e-mail to her partner... Roll Eyes Oh well! I am a notoriously hard person to contact sometimes too.

Now that everyone has recieved, I'll give y'all positive feedback later today after work. Sakaki, I love that bezel you used for the pendant; where'd you get it? And the little Pabu head Holly made is adorable!

BunnieBard: Ebay is the source of all my incontrollable crafty hoarding. Chinese sellers have lots of 5 - 20 for as little as $1 free shipping sometimes!

WOOOOOO!! I'm finally posting all the awesome things I received from the_essence. The Navy has been working me like dog, so sorry about these pictures taking a little while.

My husband and I opened the package together. He was actually really excited about this box and helped me tear it open. It was bound pretty good with duct tape.

First a teaser:

I really wanted some propaganda and received this awesome print:

I also received a very nice inspirational poster. The picture she took in venice and added in the avatar statue. It includes one of my favorite quotes from the ATLA.

Next I got a letter from the Republic City Metalbending Police Force Management with this box.

Inside were my Metalbending Police Force badge after having been repaired and polished as well as a Fire Nation Emblem from General Iroh for my team's work with the United Forces. I also got some Earth Kingdom coins and some little metal fans from Kyoshi.

Below is a picture of my Beifong Academy graduate pin after being repaired and polished as well. It was originally in the box, but had made it onto my favorite purse by the time I took pictures. IT IS SOOOO COOL!! I freaked out when I saw this. I can't wait for my Avatar friend to come back from the mainland to show her this.

And last but not least, a very large Amon propoganda piece. We are talking at least 24X36 and the entire thing is cut out paper and some marker for lines. You did not dissapoint with my odd request for propaganda!!

Thank you so much for everything. My husband and I really like everything and are going to get frames for the posters to put up in my craft room. I can't wait to wear my Metalbending Police Force Badge as well when I go to the mainland in a couple of months!
