my best friend friend from high school got married this summer, and i took on my second gigantic quilt wedding gift.
her colors were orange & fuchsia, so i used different orange fabrics to make the zig zags.
it was originally based off of a scrap quilt i saw on pinterest, but with a few alterations (and lots of math!) i made it what it is

their bed is "olympic queen" in size, and by far making this the largest quilt i've made so far.
i love the zig zag patterning, and currently intend to use the same style for when their family starts to grow.
here it is... the whole gigantic-ness!

best part is, it did actually fit on their bed!

That is simply stunning those orange stripes are beautiful! I would love to have that on my bed, you  have one lucky friend.

I always wanted to make a quilt, any chance of you giving me some pointers?  Smiley

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

I love orange and I love chevron'esque designs so I LOVE this!! What a wonderful and generous gift. I'm sure it will be cherished for years to come.

Wonderful!!  That's a very lovely quilt!  I know we have all the quilts my husbands Grandma ever made him, and I definitely cherish the one she made us for our wedding.  I'm certain your friend will too!
