Quilt block swap

I'm cool with the idea of just choosing color/ style... cuts down on the cost/ time of mailing out fabric to everyone, and I think we'd still end up with blocks that go together OK.

I agree. I am not against mailing fabric to everyone and then getting a sampler, but I think it might be more fun to end up with a quilt with a lot of different fabrics, but a unified quilt block theme. Plus that way we could use some of the fabrics from our stashes.

Yes, I like the randomness of waiting to see what fabrics people use and send. it would be great stashbusting!

Ok that's like the kind of swap I was in a couple of years ago.  Everyone gave color schemes and picked the style block they wanted. Like I picked wonky log cabins in neutrals and blues. Someone else wanted appliqued birds in earth tones. And someone else picked a scrappy string block and basically said the more colors the better. Like that? The only real requirement was that you pick a 12.5" block style.

Yes MareMare ran it - why not ask her if she would organize another round?  If she doesn't want to, I might be up for organizing.
