I'm thinking about signing up as a yarnie extraordinaire, but I'm not sure what 5 things to wish for .. I mean, isn't it all hoops? Or are there some awesome embroidery crafts I've missed out on? I'm about to check out the boards here, but figured I'd ask here!
And what do you mean "yarnie extraordinaire?" Do you crochet and knit? Do you do other things with yarn that we've only ever dreamed of? That would be impressive, I've dreamed some pretty crazy yarnie things before.
I crochet, knit, and experiment with things I was shown during an extraterrestial pick up. I do not, however, have any spinning experience. I'm saving that for old age or something.

Check out urbanthreads.com or sublimestitching.com or feelingstitchy.com or the flossbox.com or the needlepoint boards here on craftster.

Embroidery is really quite limitless. Quotes, monograms, characters, etc.  Cheesy

I know there are a lot of cool people on here that kick tushie at translating images into cross stitch. I am not one of those people, but they are out there.

Woohoo I'm in! And all the hoopers seem really cool, so this should be a great swap.
I'm going to check out those websites now, thanks deathby!

yup. essentially, if it can be drawn or written, it can be embroidered in one way or another. tbh my ideal partner would have some sort of pinterst/wist board(s) of hoops/ art / cartoon charecters / quotes / stuff like that, to riff off when designing their hoop Smiley

I think that by signing up for this swap, I need to come to terms with the fact that I need to have far too much on the go at all times in order to feel alive~  Love it Smiley
