YAY! I'm so happy you liked everything, Strawberry!!!
The flames on the scarf are done in I-cord which is a fancy needle way to achieve the spool knitting. (I just can't get a good groove w/ the spool...sigh).

That scarf was super hard to give up I can tell you... and I'm so relieved it's to your taste! You WILL be the coolest girl in school! You wear a scarf, and scarves are cool.  Wink

Wow, silentblair, I can't believe that package!  The envelope really WAS bigger on the inside!  You did all that in less than 3 weeks?  I love the colors in the hat.  The ice bag cover is such a great idea!  And the scarf is really fantastic--that had to take a while.  Everything is so well-planned for your partner; reallly a wonderful package.

Thanks! The scarf I started pretty much the day we got our partners. There were clues in the wists/pinterest and questionnaire that led me straighaway to start the scarf that very day. (rhyme much?)
Luckily it was mostly straight knitting so I could take it anywhere, hold conversations, and have kids in the same room while working on it.  Grin Grin Grin
The hat was a nice break from the scarf towards the middle.
The ice bag cover was a last minute idea because I just couldn't bring myself to only send 2 things...seemed unbalanced to do so!  Grin Wink Cheesy

The shape of that scarf is amazing! I love that! Silentblair, that was a stroke of genius.

Quaggy, those lego stitch markers are super-cool! Between them and silentblair's scarf, I almost want to try knitting again. Almost  Smiley .

Thanks for all the nice comments.  The lego stitch markers were so fun and easy to make.  Only problem I had was no legos.  Numerous attempts to get any.  I so wanted to send more but those were the only ones I could beg from someone.

I agree about Quaggy's stitch markers!!!
I've (and my kids  Roll Eyes) have recently become addicted to legos and boy do I covet those things!

I received a wonderful surprise package today from rubylynns!

She sent me three great items:  first, an embroidered bookmark (with elastic to go around the book) with a cat on it (one of my favorite themes!).  I love to read and I will put this bookmark to good use!

She also sent a beautiful Cathedral Window quilt block pin cushion, which I LOVE and I will start using TODAY!

And last but not least, ANOTHER kitty in the form of a piece of embroidery with unfinished edges (which is what I asked for so I can use it on something in the future.)  Here's a close-up of the kitty; there is a flower on the fabric, and she postitioned the cat so the flower is part of it's face.  So cute!!

Thanks for everything Ruby; this is a great package and I love it all!!

wonderful craftings, rubylynns! that cat face is so pretty--i would never have thought to do that over a flower and it came out wonderful! very cool bookmark--i laugh because i think of all the times the cats come over and sprawl out over whatever im reading. and i really like the design of your pincushion.

another secret is OUT!
