I sprained my foot a few days ago, and have been laid up since Tuesday night. I've made four of these already Smiley

You'll need:
G hook
F hook
2 different shades of yarn
2 small buttons
a small amount of felt
stuffing

Worked in rounds

EYES:
use F hook
make a magic ring
5 sc into magic ring(5)
2 sc into every sc(10)
fasten off, leave a long tail for weaving
sew buttons to  center

BODY:
use G hook
make a magic ring
6 sc into magic ring (6)
2sc into every sc (12)
(1 sc, 2sc into next sc) 6 times (18)
(sc, sc, 2 sc into next sc) 6 times (24)
(sc, sc, sc, 2sc into next sc) 6 times (30)
(sc, sc, sc, sc, 2 sc into next sc) 6 times (36)
sc around for 4 rounds
(sc in 4 sc, decrease next 2)  6 times (30)
sc around for 6 rows
(sc in 3 sc, decrease next 2) 6 times (24)
sc around for 3 rows
fasten off,  leave long tail for sewing

sew eyes to body about 4 rows down
stuff body, leaving top corners unstuffed
bring top together and whip stitch closed.
Cut a small triangle from felt and hot glue under the eyes.

You now have your own Pocket Owl.
