Hi!

I have been crocheting for about a year. Primarily I work on amigurumi. I have an afghan blanket pattern that I want to make for my Dad. I think I understand the pattern.

Are there any huge differences between amigirumi patterns and afghans? It looks like it has stitch types and count for each row. There is also a big diagram of the entire blanket with a key indicating the stitch type.

I figured checking would be good before investing in lots of beautiful yarn :-)

Thanks!

If you can make amigurumi, you can definitely make a afghan! Flat pieces are easier than shaped pieces. Go for it! Good luck!
