I've been working on a pattern and have it down pat how I want it, but rather than writing it out, I would like to draw it up in symbols.  Now I know a person can download the symbols off the web, but is there a program out there where you can just pick the symbol and place it rather than copy.pasting each symbol in an image editor program?  Please help.

There's this one: http://stitchworkssoftware.com/

I haven't had a lot of luck getting it to work with Linux, but I've heard great things about it from Windows and Mac users.
