I've been wanting to make some cool wall art out of all these photos on my phone! I'm a terrible photographer, but I'm the ony one we got. I can't let all these mediocre photos go to waste, so I did what all my friends on the internet do, use all the filters built into Picasa (and some from Instagram) to make the photos look trendy and cool! I cropped them all to squares of equal size and printed them out with my inkjet:

(My dog wanted to help cut the pictures out, but I explained to her that she could not because she had no thumbs)
I wanted to mount these on something cheap or free, and I scored! The lady at JoAnn let me have a couple of the cardboard inserts that bolts of fabric come on. I had my son paint them black.

I let the paint on the boards and the ink on the photos dry for a full day before moving on.
After cutting out the photos, I arranged them on the boards to make sure the different colors were spread out and made a tile effect, then drew lines onto the boards to guide me where to place the pictures. I then carefully Mod-Podged them on.

they took about a day to dry, and then I mounted them with some poster strips (command? 3M? Eh I don't remember.)

There was some measuring and messing around with the computer to make these fit nicely, which would be too boring to read, and too much of a pain to go into. It did take some math to make this happen. But it was fun, and now that I have some practice, I'd like to make a nicer one with better materials.
