Hi!  I'm hoping someone can help me come up with ideas for lighting  for our beach home.  We have a room off of our living room that has a ceiling fan (white wicker blades/white fan)  & a ceiling light fixture.  I am replacing the fixture with another.  I LOVED the Ikea Maskros hanging ball light, but even the small one was way too big & hangs too long.  My husband would like something of a novelty "beach" themed light.  We need a flush mount or a semi-flush.  I had seen a couple antique flush mounts for kids rooms that had sailboats painted on them.  Cute idea, but couldn't find any to buy.  I am crafty & can certainly take something & make it into something "beachy", but I don't want to use shells (already done that for screened patio light) & don't want a nautical pendant light.  Anyone any ideas one where to buy something cool or what to make cool?

What about simply gluing sand and pebbles to the metal housing of a flush mounted light?

I love that stones look.
What about a sail inspired look. Use canvas shaped with wire or stretched over a frame.

For beach theme lighting, I would like suggest, you can have seashell lightings like seashell candles, Beach themed Lanterns etc.
