I've had a lot of requests for a pumpkin soap, so I made a big batch last week!  It's the basic olive/palm/coconut oil mix, and I added 8 ounces of pumpkin puree, pumpkin beer, cinnamon leaf EO, and BB's pumpkin spice FO Smiley

Closeup of the top (I sprinkled it with Pumpkin Pie spice):

Right now the Cinnamon leaf is a little overpowering, and it's more spicy that buttery for sure, but I like it.  The great thing is it makes your hands smell like cinnamon for like 2 hours after you use it!  Happy Fall everybody Cheesy

What a great idea.  I'm starting to/learning how to make my own soaps and this would be a fun one to start!  When I give it a shot I'll try to remember to post my own results here!

After a week or two, the color has darkened some, but it's still the color of pumpkin pie.  I'm going to make a second batch, this time I think I'll add more pumpkin puree and some kind of a buttery scent to go with the pumpkin spice.  The scents I added on their own are just pure spice.  Which is nice, but I think most people think richness when they think of pumpkin too.

Anyway, thanks for the nice comments everybody Smiley

Thanks for all the nice comments everybody Smiley  I just made a second batch because the first one sold out in literally a week yay!

60 oz olive oil
30 oz coconut oil
30 oz palm oil
1 pumpkin beer boiled down
almost a whole can of chilled pumpkin puree
16.8 oz lye
33 oz water

7 oz pumpkin pie spice FO
2 oz cinnamon leaf EO
1/2 oz snickerdoodle FO

The snickerdoodle darkened it, but I like the scent better Smiley

your first batch inspired me to make a batch - and i think the puree really liquified it - it took forever to get trace - oh, and did I mention my stick blender died halfway through, so I was 'Witching' it (stirring a noxious mess with a giant wooden spoon).

I like this soap a lot.
