I made some wildlife silhouette pendants the other day.  They are my favorite things I have etched since I moved to Michigan.  A nice deep smooth etch.  I think it was because the weather was so hot. I am going to try a hot water bath for my etchant solution now that it has cooled off a bit.

These are seriously awesome.  I like the rough edge to some of the etchings -- gives character and texture -- and it's a very smooth color.

Those are fantastic etches.  Would you mind sharing how you do your etching?  I tried a few times and mine do not turn out well.

Now I use this solution
http://www.instructables.com/id/Stop-using-Ferric-Chloride-etchant!--A-better-etc/

All my results arent this good. I have a lot of failure.

Thanks for sharing - I have seen that instructable, but though the ferric chloride method may be easier.  But I have been disappointed in the results a couple of times now, so may bite the bullet and use the one you are recommending!
