Lately my bf's white shirts have been developing an odd orange ring around the neck which smells sweet and won't go away. Instead of throwing the shirts out I kept them and decided to make some cute girly clothes with them. This time around I made a t-shirt vest!!! Sorry for the lack of pictures, I didn't think to take any til I was done.

To make the shirt I simply cut off the collar and sleeves and made a slit straing down the middle. I then cut off a longated triangle near the bust to help give it shape. I wanted pockets so I cut the armpit out of one sleeve to give it a nice shape them cut it in half so I had 2 identical shapes. I used these to make the pickets. I then created a hem and sewed it.

I hope you like it!!

Very cute. I am actually looking for ways to re-do old tshirts for Christmas gifts for my sister and niece. Thanks for the idea! Smiley

Maybe I'm simple or it's really late (it's 3am here), but how do you get the triangle to shape the bustline if you've already cut it down the middle?
