Raku zebra mask

After a summer break from the world, I wanted to begin posting some of my raku pottery that I've made.

For those that don't know what raku is, its set apart from other pottery by the glazing process.  Once you glaze a piece, its fired to temp (cone 06) and pulled immediately out of the kiln and placed in a metal can full of combustable material (newspapers for me) so that the glaze cracks from the extreme temperature change and anywhere there is no glaze, the clay absorbs the smoke and turns the clay grey/black.
