Chair cover and cushions in glorious IKEA birdie fabric

Who could resist this fabric?



I recovered a tired old chair, with just enough left over for some cushions. The birdies needed some very fussy cutting, and I ended up having to piece together some less interesting parts of the print on the (never seen) back of the chair cover.



I love them, they make me smile every day! I might need to go back and get some more of this fabric - I'm imagining tote bags (maybe even - shhhh! - as Christmas gifts).

Thanks for all the nice comments - sorry to be so slow to reply - no internet access on holiday (which was wonderful in its own way...)

KerrieRou - it wasn't too expensive for home-dec weight fabric - i think less than £8/m, maybe even a bit less. For IKEA, it was at the top end of their range, which was why I didn't buy more. Now I'm kicking myself for that!

That's a pretty fabric.  The chair looks great, and good use of the leftovers for the cushions!
