I had a bridal shower to attend but could not find anything that I liked at the mall so I decided to just make myself a skirt.  This is the first skirt I have made, I drafted the pattern myself using various tutorials online for reference.  I also added lining as the fabric on it's own was a little see through.  when I make another one I will use smaller elastic for the waistband, I am a little unhappy about the width. The cami and cardigan are from NY&Co and is what I wore with it.

Oh, it's very pretty--you'd never know it's a first attempt. I love the fabric, too.

It's bad enough wasting time, without killing it.

That fabric is gorgeous.  I think you did an awesome job. I can't wait to make my first skirt!  I hope it turns out as well as yours did.

Looks very nice.  Pretty fabric and goes very well with the lovely blue twinset.

Cute! The first skirt I made didn't come out nearly as nicely.
