carina i'm sure the girls in the states can receive snack/candy items from abroad. the only time that customs would confiscate it would be if it were slabs of meat/fish or bulk containers of ketchup, things like that.

If anyone is interested in getting something from Japan, could you leave a message or PM me about what you might want? I would just like to have a few ideas before I get disconnected.
ooh selenium, i'd love some domo-kun stuff or nyanko stuff, or hello kitty stuff!!!

as far as the number of countries we have signed up so far, hopefully a lot more people will filter in and sign up, cause on the discussion thread for this swap, i remember at least 2 other uk people, a swede, and someone from france i think.

I'm signing up, tomorrow maybe, when I get home. But I'm just wondering.. I'm from Portugal, but what if all of you girls are from te USA? maybe a "my state doesn't have that?".
Anyway, you guys are lucky Smiley my country doesn't have a lot of cool things you have.. If someone wants a very cool portuguese wool, or typical cotton printed fabric, or typical ceramic pieces, lace.. you know, crafty stuff, I would be proud to show our stuff of.

Too bad you can't receive food from international packages, we have great treats here.
Soooo... were are you guys from?

wool, fabric, and crafty stuff sounds cool, i would love to trade for that, my other choice would be japan.

i was thinking if it does come down to state to state swap, souvenirs are always cool. espeically souvenirs from cities, like snowglobes and tins and postcards.

i could also get stuff from my local foreign stores, i just discovered a british grocery store, so i will have to visit that.
